Gettysburg Getaway - Remodeled Home

We travel quite often and prefer to stay in homes versus hotels, so we're well versed in the good, the bad, and everything in between. So, when I say this is likely the very best house we've ever stayed in, that's really saying something! Let's start with the beds - a good night's rest is #1 for me. Grands had a king, we had a queen, and 20's had two twins - all said the mattresses were comfortable and the linens were top-notch, like something I've actually purchased for my own home. Also, each bed was an actual bed, like real furniture, not bedframes only, but headboards and footboards with matching/coordinating dressers for clothes, too. They provided plenty of hangers in each closet as well. There were lamps and nice chairs at the desks and large mirrors for dressing. There were tons of additional pillows and bedding for the pull-out sofa. There were decorative pillows on the couches, comfy blankets, and nice shades on the windows for privacy. The bathrooms were stocked with TONS of towels! The kitchen was well stocked with just about everything one would need to cook/eat meals while there. They even provided a beautiful set of dishes for you to use that truly shows that you're a guest in their home and not just a stranger. The yard was very well kept and perfect for our two little (<10 lbs each). There was lots of parking in the back, not to mention the two-car garage that we had access to as well. The dining table was perfect for us to sit and eat at, and play games. All this to say, these things made us feel like we were at home....the other places we've stayed at felt stiff and like a rental property that's just a place for people to come and go from. This home felt like a place to come and relax - to host a small gathering (with permission) - to stay over a holiday weekend. We truly loved the time we spent here and hope to stay here again soon.
